New $3m gangway installed at Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal

CIRCULAR Quay's Overseas Passenger Terminal is sporting a brand new gangway in preparation for the 2009/10 cruise season.

The gangway cost $3 million and will be operating in time for the arrival of the Rhapsody of the Seas on 17 October 2009, according to the Sydney Ports Corporation.

Sydney Ports decided to upgrade to a modern, state-of-the art-gangway with lower ramp gradients and greater comfort and safety for passengers.

The gangway will allow a greater range of heights for disembarking decks at the Overseas Passenger.
