Australia enters intro Free Trade Agreement

SKELTON Sherborne has announced the largest Free Trade Agreement between Australia, New Zealand and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has been agreed.

The new agreement will come into effect in January and will gradually eliminate Customs Tariff Duties on many goods to and from the agreed countries by 2020.

According to Skelton Sherborne, the rules of origin will vary, dependant on the product but each importer will be required to show a Certificate of Origin to support their claim.

Skelton Sherborne says the Certificates of Origin will be issued by an Issuing Authority of the exporting country member but no authorised bodies for the member countries have been confirmed.
