THE first woman to chair a port authority in Western Australia has been appointed by the Western Australian government.

Neema Premji will take the role at the Bunbury Port Authority, supported by new board members Ray Frisina and Richard Baldwin.

The Transport Minister, Simon O'Brien, says Ms Premji has served on the board since 2002 and her skills and vast experience make her ideal for the role.
