EUROLIFT says the Elme Spreader is a new way of using reach stackers to tip shipping containers in order to empty them.
According to Eurolift, Elme’s new method is suited to flowing bulk materials including minerals, bales of waste, grain, fertilizer and coffee beans.
Eurolift says depending on the repose angle of the contents, the Elme Spreader can tilt the containers up to 45 degrees. The Spreader can either be supplied as a telescopic model 817 to handle either 6m or 12m containers or a 327 fixed 6m model with a capacity up to 45T.
The company claims the Elme Spreader unit can also accommodate custom non-standard bins if the pickup points for the container twistlocks are in the standard location.
According to Eurolift, the Elme Spreader can be used to lift and move full containers around, so the incorporated tipping mechanism results in a very cost-effective method of operating.
To ensure the optimum loading of materials with lower density, Elme can also provide a static filling station which tips the container to allow loading of the maximum possible volume of product.
